Enjoy & Explore Holland program

Our mission is to make sure that all our foreign candidates (au pairs, caregivers and domestic workers) have a great year in the Netherlands. That is why we developed a special Enjoy & Explore Holland program. This program consists of several activities in which au pairs can get in contact with each other, explore the Netherlands and get support with questions and problems.

Connect to Smiling Faces

The au pairs have been informed by our foreign branches and partners about the program in the Netherlands. As soon as the au pair has arrived in the Netherlands, she is called by one of our employees to have a welcome call. A welcome package, with contact details of other candidates, is also sent to the host family’s house before the au pair arrives.

Enjoy & Explore HOLLAND Card

Each au pair receives an Enjoy & Explore card that gives her the right to join some or all tours and our monthly Meet & Greet meetings in Rotterdam. For more information please have a look at our Event Calendar and our Facebook profile.

24/7 Au Pair Support

We understand that au pairs might have a lot of questions, feel lonely or have problems with their host family. As a host family, it is your responsibility to be a listening ear to the au pair and try to help her with any problems or questions she might have. But of course we would offer to support you and the candidate with these problems and/or questions by sharing our knowledge and experience.

Smiling Faces also has a 24/7 emergency number: 06-23607197. This emergency number can be called outside office hours, when there is an emergency that cannot wait until the next work day. For less urgent matters au pairs can contact our special support department at the following e-mail address: support@smilingfaces.nl. Host families can send an e-mail to info@smilingfaces.nl. Besides this, our employees are also available during office hours.
